10th Anniversary Presentation
70 people attended the event despite it being held on the night of England
playing in the world cup. We had speeches from
Ron Hall who was the founder chairman, and
Marilyn Talbot who explained how we raised the
original £36,000 to buy our first new bus.
Lord Cotter expressed his strong support and
commitment to CCT and said how delighted he
was to be asked to be the patron of such a
business-like, effective organisation which
put the interests of the most vulnerable
members of the community at its heart. He
said how he had followed the development of
CCT since its inception 10 years ago and saw
it as an excellent example of a truly
community-led volunteer initiative which
showed just what can be done, through
partnership, to add value to the lives of
local people.
